This is How I Roll 7-9-10
Again as always up at 445 am because it is Friday. BUT guess what?? Yes, oh yes, today I got a shower in peace…….no interruptions, no talking, just me and the shower. I wont let you know how blissful that really is.
As the morning is starting and the family is waking camping sets in my mind. I start to wonder how fun it will be this time. What will be different from last year? The kids are all a year older and it makes a huge difference. We did not take Courtney this time and she stayed home with Grandma and Grandpa and gets her first taste of the fair along with rides….Woohoo for her! I cant wait to hear all about it. So we pack up the car and we are headed out…Make all our stops and we finally get here. Mike and Brandon has set up the tent and I got all the beds made and food sorted out.
To give you an idea of at the moment what it is like here. I am sitting in my chair by the pretend campfire (we don’t have one lit because its 90 degrees) Mike is in the tent sleeping…..yea I know what a bum sleeping at 430 in the afternoon……no sympathy card from me because like he said I guess I need more than 2hrs of sleep. I will give him credit as he worked hard getting everything ready for our family today……okay, okay, what a nice man he is and blah blah blah……..Credit is given, nap is well deserved……
So the kids are off and playing and every now and again I can hear one of them in a distant. Can you all guess which one? Yes, that would be Cameron. The birds are chirping and the place is quiet as can be besides the diesel truck here and there or the car here and there. I suspect it wont be quiet for long as it is about that time most start showing up and setting up camp. Did I mention how quiet it is?
Oh wait they are all back…..Taking you back to the place of how will this year be different and the kids being a yr older that is a huge difference. They are having so much fun. Cameron just looked and me and said “Mom no TV for 2 days”….I wonder if that was a general statement or if randomly somewhere in his brain he was thinking about cartoons. Now see this is fun for me because I can sit here listen and then type what he is saying and now it is all about what are we going to do tonight and dessert which I was just informed is smores.
Well that is about it for now and we are expecting some great company to come and say hi to us and play for a while. Friends this is why we camp so close to home to have friends just pop in and out on us and that means they are rollin with us.. How fun is that?!!
It is now 846pm and we are sitting by a campfire just Cameron and I having some bonding time and listening to Lady Antebellum. The night has gone smooth. Our friends came and gone. We had a wonderful Hot Dog cooked over the campfire dinner and let me tell you for the first time Mikey cooked me hot dogs….mmmmmmm YUMMY they were so good. We walked down to the river before dinner and there were many people swimming in there and having a great time. The kids threw a few rocks and we headed back up to camp to have dinner. We finished dinner and the kids made smores with those new HUGE marshmallows I think all the kids were in heaven with them. Mike, Brandon, and Tyler headed to the river to try and catch Mama a fish. Like I said before Cameron and I are bonding over the campfire. He is non stop talking about his little tackle box and all his thingy’s inside it. We also just gone talking about the major bug bites we are all getting and he has two on his neck that are driving him nuts. Now he is reading every word I write and he says erase that now Mom you are talking about me. The he says oh yea never mind you are writing about your life. HAHA he is so funny standing over me huffing and puffing but you know he is really getting a kick out of this. LOL………..Well it is time to finish the story for the day. We will chill and enjoy the campfire together for a few more min and I think him and I will call it a day! Goodnight to all from our campsite to your homes!
