Squirrel in the Power Lines?
It is Sat. morning 1030.…..We have come accustomed to loud snap, crackle, pops, around here. We live next to the fire station. Which is not only a fire station but a training facility for the firemen, police, among others as well. It is also a central place for Lifeline to land on occasion. We have had many experiences with all of the above not to mention again when it is something real big all and Lifeline is going to land we get the honors of all the news stations hovering over us.
Did I mention we are powerless again. It all started at 715 when we heard a huge pop and crackle. Well I was in bed and no one came running so I assumed it was the fire station. I finally wake up at 845 (woohoo I was so tired) and the power truck is outside. I then realized it was the power. Yes, I was a little slow this morning. So anyway power man was here for about 15 min and fixed the power and yes, It was a squirrel in the transformer, poor, dumb, thing. So he told us we are set and have a great day. That was 915.……..Did I tell you it is 1040 now and we still have no power. Oh it did come on but no sooner than he left the driveway and got to the light BOOM it was gone just like that!
No better time then to Blog about it right. Then to add on top guess what the power guy threw the dead fried squirrel in the grass……YUCK…….
Well the Laptop battery will soon die so in closing I would like to say……Come someday and roll with us. You might find a new adventure around every corner.
Quick update: Power back on 130 in the afternoon.......We have a brand new transformer box!!
