A Day At the Lake

I will have a few “ramble on” blogs today but we will go ahead and start with our day!! It was Mike’s company picnic at Lake Sammamish State park. Now I will start with this…….Same state park a shooting occurred last week. First of all unheard of and second of all nerve racking. Now I really do know that it was a isolated incident however I could see myself feeling anxious as we drove in this morning. The thought of two dead and 4 in the hospital just threw me through a loop. I said a prayer and pretty quickly it all disappeared. So we get there and the kids instantly start playing in the bounce house and we start visiting as everyone shows….Happy Birthday to my sweet Courtney and boy did she have fun. We ate, went to swim, played in the bouncy houses, flew kites…….Couldn’t have asked for a better time and frankly the company was great too. Mike has worked there for 13 years but still I usually only see most of these people once a year, all in good fun and seeing all the kids grow up. Now Mike had a good time this year for sure as I am in the house writing this he is passed out in my car…..really don’t think I need to say more……The day has come again and went so fast but the fun time we had will be a memory to hold on to.
