Adventures in Camping Night one…….
As I lay in bed thinking about the day ahead and listen to Cameron completely in overdrive talking about fishing tomorrow, I got to thinking about all the times we have gone camping and how much we enjoy it. I am by far not a rough it kind of girl but I can do a weekend and enjoy it.
We were laying in bed and this time we were blessed with very loud and very young campers made me think if when I went camping as a teenager we were this loud…..I am sure we were. They quieted down fairly quickly and early. We went to sleep and my phone had a text at midnight (GIRL we are going to talk about that, lol) I needed to check it and make sure all was well at the homestead. I went back to sleep and woke up at 310 to OH NO rain….what??? Only in Washington can it be 90 degrees and then rain in the night…….Well for the first time ever we decided to not put the cover on the tent. I look up and I listen and low and behold…..DROP DROP right on my hand……”Mike, Mike, it raining oh no”….we fly out of bed and we just put the cover on so our stuff does not get wet. Oh yea by the time we got back into the tent….It was done raining. WHAT???? OH COME ON????SERIOUSLY???? 300am here I am tired. So we go back to sleep and I was surprisingly woke up again at 500 to a nice size down pour…..WHEW I was so glad we put that up. Well by the time we all got up in the morning if you didn’t hear it rain you would never have guessed it did. what’s our joke Seattleites only in WA can it be perfectly sunny and blue sky and rain at the same time. Awe I still marvel in all of God’s wonder!
